Supporting first Responders

From natural disasters operations to daily events, emergency management require actionable information in order to make the best, often life-saving, decisions.

During North Carolina's response to Hurricane Florence, NC Emergency Management (NCEM) and the North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) deployed GuardianAngel to provide asset tracking and data visualization to the management team at the State's Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Through the event, we integrated into GuardianAngel and deployed 800 satellite-enabled, GPS tracking devices to response assets dispatched from 36 different states.  This enabled the EOC to view the real-time location of the assets as they operated across the impacted area.

To enhance operational support, the GuardianAngel Platform displayed road closure and traffic information from NC DOT and was also able to map points of interest such as shelters, requests for assistance, spot reports form the field and other items of operational significance.
